AUTOMOTIVE A/C REPAIR
On-Site Automotive A/C Evaluation, Leak Testing & Repair
Warm air, cooling that fades at idle, or a recharge that did not last? Our specialty is automotive A/C evaluation, leak testing, repair, and recharge at your home or workplace. We explain the findings and estimate the recommended work before you decide.
Is this what you are experiencing?

- Cooling that changes at idle or while driving
- Cooling that stops again after a recharge
- A compressor or major system repair recommended elsewhere
What we evaluate and repair
Evaluation, repairs and service limits
Evaluation before parts
We choose tests for the vehicle and concern. Relevant checks may include airflow, temperatures, pressures, refrigerant identification, electrical controls and targeted leak testing. We explain what the evidence supports before recommending parts.
Selected repairs we offer
Leak detection, refrigerant recovery, evacuation and measured recharge; selected compressors, condensers, lines, service ports, expansion devices, cooling fans and accessible controls. Repair scope depends on the vehicle, findings and required access.
When a larger facility is needed
We do not take major dashboard removal, under-dash HVAC-box or evaporator replacement, custom A/C conversions or pre-1995 retrofit projects. Selected hybrid work requires the appropriate equipment, procedure and service environment.
Preparing for your request
Tell us when cooling changes, whether it was recently recharged and how long it stayed cold. Share vehicle details, your service location and previous A/C test results.
What an A/C evaluation includes
COMMON QUESTIONS
Before you request service
What should I do if the vehicle overheats or makes a new loud noise?
A cooling complaint does not establish that the vehicle is safe to drive. If the engine overheats, stop as soon as safely possible and follow the owner’s manual. Do not open a hot coolant reservoir or radiator cap. Tell us about noise, belt concerns, smoke or temperature warnings before scheduling; the vehicle may need towing rather than an A/C appointment.
Can you just recharge it?
We first review the concern and system condition. A recharge does not correct a leak, airflow issue or electrical fault. Any recommended service is explained and estimated before approval.
Does a failed compressor mean the entire system must be replaced?
Not automatically. The failure type, contamination, vehicle procedure and condition of related components determine the recommendation. We explain the evidence and the scope of the proposed repair.
Can you check another shop’s recommendation?
Yes. We perform an independent paid evaluation. Share the estimate and any test results; our findings may support the recommendation or point to a different next step.
What does the A/C evaluation cost?
After we review your vehicle, ZIP code and symptoms, we confirm the initial diagnostic appointment price before scheduling. Refrigerant, additional testing and repairs are separate when applicable, and no additional work begins without your approval.
What warranty applies to A/C work?
Qualifying repairs include 2-year / 24,000-mile parts-and-labor coverage, whichever comes first. Qualifying complete A/C replacements may include 3-year / 36,000-mile coverage. Your estimate or invoice states eligibility, coverage and exclusions.
